Plzeňský Prazdroj has chosen EDI ORION solution and opts for EDI as a service

Brno, 24th May 2011 – The beer producers represent yet another industry, after trading and logistics companies, which has opted for electronic data interchange (EDI) in a structured form, employing the services of a consolidation and clearing centre EDI Orion. This holds true also for the world-renown brand – the Plzeňský Prazdroj – which is the biggest supplier to the domestic market in terms of the volume of communication. Prazdroj has chosen this type of electronic communication in a selecting procedure last April. CCV Information systems has been chosen as the provider of the comprehensive solution of EDI communication.

Having implemented the new solution, Plzeňský Prazdroj has joined the twenty-odd companies that are engaged in the beer production process that have previously opted for the use of the EDI Orion solution for the electronic interchange of trading information via software as a service (SaaS). Prazdroj has thus joined the ranks of about a thousand companies that already use the EDI Orion service, also including renowned brands such as Bernard, Krakonoš, City Brewery Havlíčkův Brod, Svijany or the seven brands under the K Brewery Trade group, and newly since this May, the City Brewery in Polička.

The demand for a comprehensive solutions is rising

The leading beer producers confirm the declining trend of the hitherto used means of electronic communication by opting for EDI Orion. Orion represents a comprehensive and in terms of its capabilities unique solution for electronic data interchange (EDI) and paperless communication. “We are aware of the fact that regardless of their size, companies have stopped resisting outsourced comprehensive and cloud-based solutions, which do not require them to invest into their own application but rather help them to be aware of the real added value while minimalizing maintenance costs.” says David Reichel, Head of the CCV eBusiness division.
